One does not often find many photo opportunities in their car speeding down Interstate 95 in Connecticut on the way to Long Island, NY.  Recently while attending a graduation party in Connecticut we decided to take the Bridgeport, CT to Port Jefferson Ferry across the Long Island Sound.  It was a beautiful spring day and we would be taking the ferry at 7:00 PM providing us with a sunset cruise.  Armed with my FujiFilm X100T from the graduation party I was able to wander the boat as the light changed.  The ferry ride is quick lasting just over a hour.  The X100T was the perfect...

I have always admired the Nikon Coolpix A from afar.  It's been around for almost two years, so it's not a new camera.  I loved the fact that it truly is a shirt pocket camera with a APS-C sensor,  not many cameras have that.  However, its $1,100 price tag was a little to steep for me especially since I already own a FujiFilm x100 ( sold and waiting for delivery of my x100t).  I could not justify the expense just for the sake of owning one.  Recently that all changed.  As I was leaving my home on Long Island to head north to spend the...

It is only natural that at the end of a year to look back and review the years photos.  Following other photographers and their blogs most have listed their personal favorites and I thought I would follow suit.  The criteria to make my list is simple - i just have to like it, well really like it .  I don't have to have a particular reason, it may not even be a good photo technically.  It may be one of my favorites for a number of reasons, I may like because of fond memories of when it was captured.
