Holiday week and the second to last week of the year.  The holidays are spent at home on Long Island, so this weeks photo is from home.  I quick early winter morning trip to Northport village.  The village is just five minutes from my home and offers both seascapes and landscape opportunities side by side.  This morning also happens to be a snowy one, more accurately a snowy night before.  The goal was to photograph a snowy downtown village at first light. This week I attended a photographic workshop in the Blackwater State Park and Canaan River Valley region of West Virginia.   The Mountain landscape in this part of West Virginia is abundant with wooded waterfalls and beautiful vistas.  The workshop was lead by Joseph Rossbach though Adventures in Light Workshops .  The  weather for the four day workshop was conducive to stream and waterfall photography, but we were skunked on morning and evening light for the vistas.  So waterfalls it was.  We...
