This week finds me and my camera in Vermont preparing for the holidays and hoping for some Vermont winter weather. As luck would have it, the winter weather did make an appearance. A New England storm descended on the area and left a substantial amount of snow. Even the timing worked as the snow stopped overnight allowing for a bright sunrise to drape it’s soft light across the blanket of fresh snow. The temperatures, while cold, were not a hindrance to good photography. There would be no excuses this time. In these conditions I am attracted to Vermont’s numerous rivers and streams. In these conditions, it is there that I find the most photo friendly elements. This week’s photo is taken on the banks of the Otterquechee River as it snakes it way through the village of Woodstock.
