Photo of the Week – May 28th

Posted by

This week started with the completion of the West Virginia trip.  The trip was a bust for evening and morning light but provided excellent conditions for waterfalls and other landscape opportunities.  One of those “other” landscape opportunities was a foggy trip on to the Dolly Sods Wildness in the Monongahela National Forest.  The original plan was to head up to the top for sunrise images.  Half way up it because apparent that the fog was just not going to let that happen.  We got to the top and turned right around.  On the way down we ran into a patch of barren trees floating in the fog, surrounded by the yellow flowers of early Spring in West Virginia.  Although I am not happy with my results, I was able to get a couple of acceptable images.  One of those images is the photo of the week (below)
