Finally, in the first week of February Mother Nature has given us a little winter weather to work with. A brief mid-week snowstorm gave most of Long Island about three inches of snow. I headed out late afternoon to Nissequogue River State park in Kings Park in hopes of getting some wooded coastal winter shots. The conditions were OK, fresh fallen snow, no people and no wind. The snow was sticking to everything, the only problem was the quality of the light – it was flat grey. Whatever the condition of the light, I was there with my equipment ready to take some photos.
After an hour or so, I was able to get a few shots that I liked. The photo below is one I liked and is photo of the week.
